Congratulations!so, i am interested to know more about your self-employment status. So you saying that you actually worked for your own company when the 485 was adjudicated? So, they did not ask you any questions about that? No raised eyebrows?

This not exactly self-employment, we (myself +my wife) have created own corporation with my wife has president and me as employee (Both of us have EAD). So then start working for that company. No need to inform USCIS, it is like working with any other company. Again i am still working in same or simlar job description per Labor/I140.

If someone says EAD, then the process never even goes further and doors are shut.i - 9 form clearly says that one cannot discriminate against EAD.At the most an employer has to verify if it is 180 days past filing 485 and if the job is similar ( which is in 99.99% of cases which is why the candidate applies for the job).

After that, all an employer has to provide is a employment verification letter in case of an RFE/NOID/Wrongful denial - which means that employer does not really sponsor the Green card or transfer the process. I paid the money to my company who has applied for my H1B.Even I have not yet received receipt number for the H1 application filed on 7-April-2009 by my employer in NJ USA. I was also given fedex tracking number for the application that was sent on 7-April-2009.I applied for H1B through a NJ based consultancy company for year 2010.

I haven't got any receipt number though my employer claims to have fedexed my application on April 6th.had nicely and smartly enjoyed everyones money and are free without any problems. Now from last few weeks they are not even replying any emails or phone calls. This clearly indicates that it was very well planned fraud. Also if MTR gets denied for any reason then you are putting yourself in big trouble.I would suggest you to reapply with solid paperwork under premium processing. But if you have H4 valid papers(approval), then you can live here as H4 but when you travel you have a choice between stamping or AP. Once you start using your EAD, you lose your H1/ H4 status immediately (have to file new I9 and specify how you could work) even if you have years left on that visa.
